Program Changes

At Fifth Third, we're constantly looking for ways to improve the Rewards program to better serve our clients. Based on direct client feedback, we have made substantial improvements to Rewards that will make the program easier to use than ever before.

The three main changes are:

  1. "Single Sign-On" access to Rewards. This means that you can now manage your points and redeem for rewards by signing in one time to Fifth Third Internet Banking and clicking on the Private Bank Rewards button in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. You will no longer need to sign in to www.unlockyournewworld.com to access your rewards.
  2. World Debit points are not automatically combined.
  3. The Private Bank Rewards website has been completely redesigned with improved navigation and ease of use; the option to combine points with cash to earn rewards faster; a real-time travel tool that allows you to book travel rewards instantly; the option to auto-paydown a Fifth Third Bank mortgage; an improved gift card selection including lower prices on most cards; and the reintroduction of merchandise rewards.
Points earned by the Fifth Third Private Bank World Elite MasterCard® never expire. One of the many benefits of the World Elite Card. However, if you have other reward-earning Fifth Third accounts, please see the terms and conditions for full details on each account (A link to the full Terms and Conditions is available at the bottom of each page of the Private Bank Rewards website).
For your convenience, we provide one number for all your Fifth Third Private Bank servicing needs – 1-866-488-0017. The Private Bank Client Service Center is available 24/7 and works with you and a Rewards specialist to answer your questions. Fifth Third Reward Specialists are available Mon – Fri from 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. ET and Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. ET. Depending on the nature of your request, your request may not be able to be serviced until 10:00 AM ET on the following business day.
Simply select your destination and the website will automatically tell you the number of points needed for air, hotel or car rental.
Yes, we've added more brand-name restaurants.
Yes. If you find that you are short in points and you'd like to redeem for a particular item, many of the catalog items are now eligible for partial pay. If the item is eligible the partial-pay slider will appear at checkout.
Yes. Now you can easily set up automatic redemption into a Fifth Third Mortgage. Simply enter the required information and check the box to get started. You can stop automatic redemption at any time.

About the Rewards Program

Rewards are items you purchase with the points you earn with a rewards-earning Fifth Third account. The program offers:

  • Gift Cards from your favorite stores and restaurants
  • Merchandise from top makers of electronics, home entertainment, and more
  • Deposits into your Fifth Third savings or checking accounts
  • The ability to pay down a Fifth Third loan, including a mortgage
  • Cash back
  • Charitable contributions
  • Travel – airline, hotel and car rentals
All clients who have products that earn rewards will earn points. This includes authorized users and joint account users.
Log in to Fifth Third internet banking at www.53.com and view your points by clicking on the Rewards icon in the upper right corner.

To redeem your points for a reward, log in to Internet Banking on www.53.com and click on the Rewards button located on the right side of your screen. Here you will be able to browse a large selection of rewards. If you do not have enough points for a reward, you can choose to pay a portion in points and the remaining in cash (on a credit or debit card). You can then go to your cart to checkout or choose to continue shopping.

When you are ready to check out, go to your cart and review your redemption. You will receive an email confirmation for your redemption as well as another email with details on delivery of your rewards.

The point value of the rewards you redeemed will be automatically deducted from your available points balance.

If you are the primary owner of a Fifth Third rewards product, or you have a jointly-owned rewards product, you will be able to redeem points. Authorized users, however, are not able to redeem points. Points earned from jointly-owned accounts are automatically pooled together.
You will earn points on signature purchases. Signature purchases are fully described in the rewards terms and conditions which are located on Fifth Third Rewards website.
In general, points will be posted to your account within 3-5 days from the original transaction. Additional rules may apply for bonus and promotion campaigns.
Step 1: Log into your Fifth Third Internet Banking account on 53.com
Step 2: Click on the Rewards button located on the right side of your screen
Step 3: Click on Point Summary tab, and then select Point History
Step 4: Simply narrow your search by product, by date, or by type of transaction.

Fifth Third Private World Elite MasterCard points do not expire. However, other rewards-earning products' points may expire.

Step 1: Log into your Fifth Third Internet Banking account
Step 2: Navigate to and select the Rewards Icon
Step 3: Click on the Point Summary tab, and then select Point Balance

You will see all of your cards that earn points, the point balance for each product, and the next points set to expire.

We have already combined all of your points on the rewards website so you can redeem even faster! The available point balance reflects all of your rewards-earning products, including joint-owned credit card and checking accounts.

At this time, points will not be combined for World Debit cards sharing a joint checking account.

Yes. Point transfers may occur between separate rewards accounts. Please contact the Private Bank Client Service Center at 1-866-488-0017 and select option 2 for Rewards for assistance. Specific rules may apply to frequency of point transfers and rewards accounts applicable for transfers.
No. All redemptions are final once your redemption is submitted.
You can access your rewards statement by clicking the Point Summary Tab at the top of the page.
Yes, clients with a Fifth Third mortgage can opt to receive automatic principal payments into a selected mortgage account. Simply enter the last four digits of your mortgage account number and select auto-redeem. Auto redemption will continue until you decide to stop by choosing to manually manage your redemptions.

Yes. You may combine cash (credit or debit card) with points at checkout. A payment slider will appear at checkout if the item is eligible for partial payment. Simply choose how many points you want to redeem and the cash balance will appear for the remainder of the redemption. A minimum of one point is required for each pay-slider redemption.
Yes. You may use the self-serve Travel Tool or you may call the Rewards Concierge phone number located on the homepage of the rewards website for travel assistance. You may also call the Private Bank Client Service Center at 1-866-488-0017 and select option 2.
