Helping to grow strong foundations that will make a difference

Founders of private charitable foundations know that what begins as a small seed can grow into a great bounty. We understand that, and cultivating the establishment, administration, and growth of private foundations is precisely the mission of The Foundation Office at Fifth Third Bank.

Making a lasting impact in the areas benefactors deem important

The Foundation Office at Fifth Third Bank serves as trustee, co-trustee, or administrator to over 70 private and corporate foundations that grant over $30 million annually to worthy charities across the United States. The foundations have assets that range from $200,000 to $200 million and support a variety of causes ranging from educational establishments to arts organizations and from basic needs organizations like shelters and counseling centers to environmental projects and animal rescue efforts.

Comprehensive services, for worthy causes

Our foundation office offers a range of services from helping clients establish a family or corporate foundation, to developing mission statements, creating policies and procedures, and offering administrative and investment services to help trustees and boards meet their fiduciary responsibilities. It also works with clients to ensure compliance with tax and other applicable laws.

The Foundation Office at Fifth Third Bank is a member of the Council on Foundations, the Council on Michigan Foundations, and the Ohio Grantmakers Forum, and abides by the guiding principles of these organizations.
