Robert F. Marcus

Managing Director

As head of Capital Markets, Bob is responsible for Fifth Third Bank’s Investment Banking, M&A, Advisory, Debt and Equity Capital Raising, Tax Exempt/Municipal Finance and Fixed Income Sales and Trading businesses.

Bob joined Fifth Third Bank in December of 2009 from Credigy Corporation, a subsidiary of the National Bank of Canada, where he was Head of US Asset Origination. Bob has 27 years of experience in the Capital Markets and Investment Banking. He has held senior/leadership positions with Wachovia Bank, where he was head of Loan Syndications; SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, where he ran Debt Capital Markets Origination; and CitiGroup, where he ran the Mid Corporate Restaurant and Retail Group.

Bob has been a guest lecturer at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business, where he co-authored and presented a case on acquisition finance to both the full time and executive MBA students.

Bob is a graduate of the University of Virginia where he earned a BA in Economics and has an MBA from the Goizueta School at Emory University. He serves on the board of Paws Atlanta and lives in Atlanta with his wife and four children.

Mark Brown

As CAO, Mark leads the implementation of the Capital Markets growth plan by spearheading various strategic and new product initiatives. In addition, Mark assists in regulatory and policy initiatives.

Before joining Fifth Third Bank, Mark served as the Southeast region executive for Union Bank, a $100 billion bank owned by MUFG. Mark spent the majority of his career at SunTrust in various roles, from starting their equity derivatives business in 1997, to managing the bank’s foreign exchange effort, to managing all aspects of the bank’s derivate business and research and development. After leaving SunTrust, he co-founded Stonemont Financial Group to provide comprehensive derivatives advisory services to corporate and institutional clients. His practice later merged with Renova Partners, an investment banking boutique in Atlanta.

Mark is a graduate of the University of South Carolina where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the Honors College. He also received a Master of Business Administration degree with a dual concentration in Finance and Accounting from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University. Mark serves on the Board of Advisors for the Moore School of Business at USC and sits on the Investment Management Committee.

Rob Schipper

Rob joined Fifth Third Bank in 2010 and currently serves as head of the Investment Banking Group. He has over 18 years of investment banking experience advising publicly traded and privately owned companies. Rob has held senior positions at J.P. Morgan’s investment bank, Jefferies, Robinson Humphrey and Bowles Hollowell Conner.

Rob’s transaction experience includes raising more than $15 billion in debt and equity financings and advising on over $3 billion in M&A volume across various industry sectors including diversified industrial, technology, consumer, restaurants and education.

Rob is a graduate of the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in finance. He received his MBA from the Darden Graduate School of Business. Rob serves on the corporate board for Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta. He resides in Atlanta with his wife, two children and two labs.

Bob Tull

Global Head of Financial Risk Solutions

Bob is the Managing Director & Global Head of the Financial Risk Solutions Group for Fifth Third Bank. He is responsible for the trading and delivery of risk management products to the corporate and institutional client bases throughout North America, Europe and Asia. Bob has over 25 years of capital markets experience in developing comprehensive risk management solutions. He joined Fifth Third Bank in 2000 and has been a contributor to the Dow Jones News Service, Bloomberg, MSNBC, Spark Spread, and other financial periodicals.

Bob is a graduate of the College of Wooster where he earned a B.A. in Economics. He received his MBA in Management from Baldwin-Wallace College. Mr. Tull is active in several organizations including the College of Wooster Board of Trustees, Greater Cleveland Sports Commission, Flashes of Hope, Chagrin Falls Jaycees, Chagrin Falls Dad’s Club and United Way of Greater Cleveland.

Mike Burr

Mike is a 25-year veteran in investment banking who has spent the majority of his career focused on small and mid-cap, middle market companies. While an industry generalist, Mike's career has a specific focus within the industrial, business services and financial services sectors.

He has held senior/leadership positions with Challenger Capital Group, where he was President and led the firm’s investment banking and advisory business; JPMorgan Securities Inc., where he was Managing Director & Group Head of Mid-Corporate Investment Banking and JPMorgan’s Mid-Corporate Group where he represented the firm’s national mid-cap middle market sector.

Mike is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma where he earned a degree in business administration and finance.

Mike Ryan

Head of Equity Capital Markets

Mike Ryan joined the Capital Markets Group of Fifth Third Bank in April of 2014 to spearhead our effort in Equity Capital Markets. Mike has over 14 years of experience originating and executing equity and equity-linked capital markets transactions across a wide range of industry verticals. Mike has extensive experience working with both large cap and small cap issuers with transaction experience ranging in value from $25 million to $1.5 billion.

He has held senior/leadership positions at Avondale Partners, where he was head of investment banking and a board member, and with JPMorgan’s top-tier Equity Capital Markets Group, based in New York, where he was a vice president. Mike is a graduate of the University of Dayton where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. He also holds an MBA from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University.
