It is quite common in the mortgage industry to transfer the servicing of mortgage loans to another institution and is in no way a direct reflection on you.
Mortgage servicing transfer is when the mortgage servicing is sold from one servicer to another. The terms of the loan do not change. Only who the payment is made to and where it’s sent changes.
Your loan is already in the transfer process, so we will work hard to earn your trust. We hope you will be happy with this change.
No, the terms of your loan do not change. Only your account number and who you make the payment to changes after the transfer date.
No, your prior servicer will contact your insurance company and taxing authority to give them Fifth Third’s information if necessary. If you currently escrow for taxes and receive a copy of the tax bill, forward to: Fifth Third Bank, PO Box 961221, Fort Worth, TX 76161-0221 or fax to 817-826-0538. If you currently escrow for insurance and receive a copy of the insurance bill, please forward to: Fifth Third Bank ISAOA/ATIMA, PO Box 1266, Minneapolis, MN 55440-1266 or fax to 855-473-0204.
Yes, you can access loan information online by setting up an online account with Fifth Third. Please note that it may take up to 72 hours after the transfer takes place before your account information will be shown on any of our systems.
Please contact us at 800-972-3030 Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., ET and have your mortgage account number handy. When instructed, press # to enter your account number. You will then be asked to enter the last four digits of your social security number. Next select Option 5 for Internet or mobile banking support and then Option 3 for mobile banking, and one of our Internet Banking Specialists will assist you.
Once you sign up, you’ll have access to your account information like loan balance, payment amount, payment due date, payment history, escrow account information, interest information, and much more.
Unfortunately, your optional insurance does not transfer.

Payment Options

Yes, you will receive a billing statement from Fifth Third after the transfer date.
Don’t worry! Your previous servicer will forward your payment to Fifth Third for 30-60 days after the transfer date. After that time, they may return your payment to you.
Update your mortgage payee information with Fifth Third’s routing number (042000314) and your new mortgage account number.
Your automated monthly payments will be transferred automatically to Fifth Third if you were signed up through your previous servicer. If you have an automatic payment feature set up for your mortgage through your bank and not your previous servicer, then we are not able to transfer this information and you’ll need to set it up with us. If that’s the case, you will find an Auto BillPayer® Quick Form in the back of your Welcome Packet brochure you can use to enroll. You can also find the form online at 53.com/autobillpayer.
We offer many convenient, hassle-free ways for you to make your monthly mortgage payment.
  • Fifth Third Auto BillPayer®: With this feature, your mortgage payment will be automatically deducted from your designated account each month. There is no fee associated with setting up this service.
  • Online Banking: After you set up an online account you can visit 53.com and sign in to Online Banking to easily make your monthly payment. There is no fee when you make your payment online using Online Banking.
  • By Mail: Send a check made payable to Fifth Third Bank. Please be sure to include your full loan number and mail to: Fifth Third Bank, PO Box 630412, Cincinnati, OH 45263-0412 (include your coupon from your monthly mortgage statement if possible).
  • Mobile Banking: Fifth Third checking and savings customers can download the app from your app store. Then, make your monthly payment by easily transferring funds from your Fifth Third checking or savings account. Mobile Banking is not available as a payment option for non-Fifth Third checking or savings customers.
  • In Person: Visit any Fifth Third Banking Center to make your loan payment in person. View branch locations on 53.com.
  • Pay-By-Phone: Call 800-972-3030 to make a payment over the phone, Monday–Friday, 7 a.m.–8 p.m., ET. There is a fee of up to $15 for this option. Consider the other payment options as you may be able to avoid a fee associated with paying your loan.

Escrow

Yes, if you currently have an escrow account for your tax and/or insurance payments, they will continue to be collected and paid by Fifth Third from your escrow account.
All escrow balances (positive and negative) are transferred to Fifth Third.
If your loan is escrowed for taxes and/or insurance and these amounts are due during the transfer period, your previous servicer will make these payments on your behalf. Fifth Third will make any necessary payments after that from your escrow account.
Your escrow analysis date may change. You will receive a new escrow analysis statement within 60 days of the transfer date.
